Our annual Flower and Garden Show is a large, public undertaking and offers an ideal opportunity to learn valuable information about all aspects of gardening in the Cape, from both the traditional and contemporary points of view. The show offers spectacular and inspiring seasonal displays of plants, and a chance to get excellent advice on many latest ‘gadgets’ and equipment. In addition to this, speakers have been lined up to inform and inspire you.

Our next show takes place on:

6 and 7 September 2014

at the Alphen Centre, Main Road, Constantia (wheelchair-friendly)

Saturday from 12:00 to 17:00
Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00

Entrance: R15 for all adults

Click here for more pictures of our previous shows.

All the plants displayed in the exhibition hall are, for the most part, grown out-of-doors by our members, who are private amateur gardeners.
Our show is intended to provide an overview of what plants can be grown by ordinary gardeners like you in ordinary Cape gardens. We exhibit them for the fun the show gives us, and for the satisfaction of creating a showcase for the public and do not aspire to the perfection of a Chelsea-type show.

If, by seeing what can be achieved in a Cape garden, you are interested in making your own garden more interesting, more diverse and more welcoming to local wildlife, why not join the CHS and enrich your life?
